Goku
Goku is pretty much the main character in DBZ. He is a Saiya-jin. He was sent to Earth to destroy everyone and take over the planet. But he was found by Grandpa Gohan. When Goku is out playing, he falls, hits his head, forgets all about his Saiya-jin mission, and becomes a good guy. He is extremely strong and can power up to SSJ 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. |
Gohan
Gohan is the first son of Goku and Chi-Chi. He is a wimp in the beginning of DBZ, but later on he trained under Piccolo and became braver and stronger. He is and can be very powerful. In fact, he killed Cell with a one-handed Kamehamea Wave. He can turn SSJ 1 and 2.

Trunks
Trunks is the future son of Bulma and Vegeta. He grows up with Goten and they become good friends. Trunks is trained by Gohan, then an adult, and turns SSJ. Trunks is quite powerful. Vegeta thought Trunks wasn't a SSJ 'cause he had purple hair- all SSJs have black hair and keep the same hairstyle their whole lives- but Trunks proves Vegeta wrong. |
Goten
Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi-Chi. He grows up with Chibi-Trunks, and they become good friends. Goten looks a bit like Goku. Goten can fuse with Trunks to form Gotenks. Goten can turn SSJ 1. He also mispronounces one of Goku's attacks which he can also do - he says "Kame Kame Ha!"

Piccolo
Piccolo is from the planet Namek. He is a pretty strong character in DBZ. He was once Goku's enemy, but when Goku' brother, Raditz, came, they becam allies, if you will. Piccolo can regenerate limbs he can lose in combat. He also merges with Kami to become much stronger so he can fight Cell. When Goku is revived and learns about the merge, he jokingly calls Piccolo "Kamiccolo"! |
Vegeta
Vegeta is the so-called "Saiya-jin Prince". He is, what do ya know, from PLANET VEGETA. His father is KING VEGETA. Seeing a pattern? Ok. Vegeta comes to Earth to destroy the Z warriors and conquer Earth. Vegeta is Goku's enemy in the beginning, but somehow is classified to me as a good guy and bad guy, sorta. He is very powerful, arrogant, and wants to rule the universe. He fuses with Goku to form both Gogeta and Vegito.
